Gel Curing Heat Tunnels

REDUCE GEL COAT CURING TIME UP TO 50% AND AVOID AIR BORNE CONTAMINATION

For curing gel coated molds prior to casting. Natural gas or optional LP fired heaters provide quicker ramp time to warm heat tunnel and are more efficient and less costly to operate than electric heaters. Warm forced air passes over the gel coated mold cutting curing time by as much as 50% and reducing air borne contamination. Air disbursement duct work runs the full length of the oven’s interior. Adjustable outlet vents at 5 ft intervals direct heated air flow to decks, bowls, and back splashes of sprayed molds for uniform curing. Capillary thermostat controlled heat source with a blower override switch allows blower operation during seasonal periods when heat may not be required. Optional conveyor decks above heat tunnel enclosure provide convenient mold storage.

  • Durable 18/20 gage formed galvanized steel heat tunnel cover with full length heavy duty PVC mold access strips. 10 ft. high upright supports allow additional mold storage above heat tunnel.
  • Standard 90½” width between uprights allows clearance for wide molds. Adjustable conveyor support beams can be set at any height to match carts and conveyor work lines.
  • Length to suit any application.
  • 150,000 BTU natural or LP gas fired heater with ¾ hp blower, 115volt-60hz-1 phase @ 9.5 amps. Optional electric heater, 30 kw 380 volt-50hz-3 phase @ 42 amps.
  • Full length heat dispersment ductwork with adjustable vents at 5 ft. intervals directs warm air flow toward bowls and backsplashes.
  • Capillary thermostat heat control with separate blower override switch.
  • Double wide conveyor lines inside heat tunnel.
  • Optional powered conveyor lines with adjustable speed control automatically transports molds through heat tunnel.
  • Optional pneumatic operated door at discharge End of heat tunnel.
  • Optional widths can be manufactured to suit any application.
  • Easy “bolt together” installation requires no
welding, cutting, or on site fabrication.

Utility hook connections for gel coat heat tunnels should only be performed by qualified, locally licensed electrical and/or gas contractors.
